An Occitan federation of academic & industrial key players in Quantum Technologies
The Institute for Quantum Technologies in Occitanie was launched in January 2021. It gathers all the Occitan key-players in the field (including all NanoX labs and universities), from academic research institutions but also private companies. It aims at fostering knowledge sharing and scientific excellence in this research field, strengthening research transfer and preparing students and engineers around quantum technologies.
In keeping with the “Quantum Plan” announced by Emmanuel Macron and with to the support of the Occitanie Region through the Quantum Technologies Key Challenge, a dozen doctoral theses and 9 post-doctoral contracts will be funded by the end of 2024 to boost regional research on quantum technologies. Funding for joint public laboratory / business projects as well as training actions will also be offered.
