NanoX only funds MSc internships, not PhD grants. However, the labs of the Matter Sciences Doctoral School propose several subjects, available on the website of the doctoral school. Whereas the sources of funding varies, PhD students receive similar net salaries, around 1400€ a month. The contract is usually for three years, extendable up to a maximum of 12 months. It sets out the legal framework of the PhD, including the activities the candidate will be involved in.
Standard annual tuition fees: ∼400 €
During the course of a thesis, NanoX is involved in the scientific enrichment of the students, in the mobility program of the doctoral school, and in the professional integration program.
The University of Toulouse annually awards 19 PhD thesis scholarships to the Sciences of Matter doctoral school. The doctoral school has its own selection criteria, based on the excellence of the candidates and on the match between their skills and the PhD subjects they apply to. In addition to these 19 PhD scholarships, several scholarships are directly funded by the French ANR, the EU Research funding programs, and university/industry partnerships. A total of ca. 80 PhD scholarships are available each year. Master students with a good curriculum will have no difficulty in obtaining a PhD grant @UT (University of Toulouse).
If you are interested by a PhD proposal of the Matter Sciences Doctoral School, please use the application form of the EDSDM website. No cc to NanoX is requested.
