Work package:
This Master 2 internship project is part of the collaboration between the company Nanomade and the Metallic Nanoparticle Engineering team at the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (LCC).
The Company
Nanomade is a start-up that develops and manufactures highly sensitive, ultra-thin, flexible, and customizable strain sensors. These sensors are integrated into three key domains, offering unprecedented potential across all industrial sectors, including performance-driven industries such as automotive and aerospace.
The Research Laboratory
The Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (CNRS) is a chemistry research lab with recognized expertise in fundamental research applied to various fields: catalysis, bioinorganic chemistry, and new materials. The host team develops tools for preparing nanomaterials with controlled morphological characteristics and properties.
Missions
You will join Nanomade’s chemistry R&D team as well as the LCC Metallic Nanoparticle Engineering group. Your missions will include:
- Designing and managing multi-step experimental plans, formulation, and stabilization studies of colloidal solutions;
- Carrying out physico-chemical characterizations of nanomaterials and colloidal solutions (sedimentation studies, chemical composition, electron microscopy, zeta potential, rheology, etc.);
- Analyzing and presenting the results obtained to establish structure/property correlations of the studied nanomaterials and identify improvement opportunities;
- Conducting scientific (academic publications) and technological (patents and industrial competitors’ commercial offers) monitoring.
